Zoom Electric Scooter - Repair & Servicing
Electric scooters are usually quite robust, but over time things do require maintenance (as with anything mechanical) or for peace of mind - a health check.
Here at Smart Boards UK, our trained technicians can repair and/or service your scooter to keep it running like new.
Whether you need new tyres, new brakes, a new battery or you couldn't quite avoid that big pothole (or puddle) and now your once loved scooter doesn't work the same as it used to - we can help!
How to book your Repair / Service:
We want to make the process as easy and painless as possible.
Once you have purchased either a Repair or Service from the options above, we will arrange for a courier label to be emailed to you (or posted if you don't have a printer).
Once you have received this, all you have to do is package your item into a box and take to your nearest drop-off shop (usually a shop near by).
You must read our terms and conditions below before placing your order.
Step By Step Guide:
1) Select from the options: Repair or Service
(If you live outside the UK Mainland contact us directly as additional charges may apply)
During checkout, in the notes section please write a brief description of the fault (if a repair or anything specific you'd like us to look at).
2) Pack the iten securely making sure the charger is also securely packed within the box.
3) We will arrange for a courier label to be emailed to you (or posted if you don't have a printer).
(If you require a collection please call to let us know, we can also arrange this).
4) Package your item securely into a box and take to your nearest drop-off shop (usually a shop near by).
Once we have received your item we will inspect it and contact you letting you know the fault and cost for pars to repair.
If you choose to proceed you can make payment via phone or bank transfer, we will then carry out the repair and send the item back to you to your designated address.
If you decide not to go ahead and wish to receive the item back, you just need to pay the return postage cost (£7.99)
Once we have received your item we will carry out a full comprehensive service.
This includes the following:
- All Bearings Checked & Lubricated
- All Screws Checked and Tightened
- Battery Health Check
- Brake Service & Adjustment
- Frame Welding Check
- Tyres & Tubes Check
- Wheel Trueness Check
If any parts are required during the repair or service (such as new bearings, brake pads, tyres, cables etc) we will discuss this with you first.
All replacement parts are the at the prices shown on the website.
If you would like any specific parts changed/upgraded while your item is with us, please let us know - we will be happy to do this for you FREE apart from the cost of the part itself!
Once complete, we just need to invoice for the parts used (if any) and the return postage - £8.49. Thats it!

Repair Terms & Conditions / Expectations Of SBUK Customers
- Ensuring you supply the correct contact details is your responsibility.
Failure to provide the correct contact details will hinder us in our attempts to contact you and will hence forth make it more likely we will be able to arrange the safe return or collection of your item.
- You need to let us know if you wish to proceed with the work
Upon completion of the initial inspection (around 2 weeks after we receive the item) we will contact you via email, phone call and sometimes text message to inform you of your item being diagnosed. We will send you an estimate which will arrive via email into your inbox or junk folder. We expect most customers will let us know immediately if they wish to proceed or not. If you do not return our contact, we will attempt to contact you weekly from this point. If you do not confirm your plan within 21 days of us sending you the estimate we will absorb your item for parts or resale. Your item will be utilised to recover costs incurred by Smart Boards UK, it will no longer be retrievable.
- If you decline your repair, you have 14 days to pay for your item to be returned
We will attempt to contact you frequently from this point if you are uncontactable. Special dispensation can be agreed with management at the point of decline, if you need it, such as if you are away from the country for 2 weeks. If you fail to liaise with us as to why it is beyond 2 weeks we will attempt to contact you until 21 days, if you still haven’t contacted us at this point with a concrete reason or plan that is agreed by management, we will absorb your item for parts or resale. Your item will be utilised to recover costs incurred by Smart Boards UK, it will no longer be retrievable.
- When your item is repaired, you have 14 days to pay for your item and return shipping.
